Hair Color
Color is one of those things that either makes you feel like yourself or it doesn't. At Silver Salon in Powdersville, we don't believe in guessing. Our colorists read your hair like a map: we understand its texture, how light moves through it, and what shade will actually make you feel confident walking out the door.
From a fresh gloss to keep your color luminous, to hand-painted balayage and airtouch techniques that create movement and depth, we match the method to your vision and your hair's needs. Single process color, foilyage, highlights, each has a purpose, and the right one is the one that feels right for you. We talk through what you want, what your hair can do, and how to keep the color looking fresh between visits. Because how you feel matters as much as how you look.
FAQ
Hair Color — common questions
Highlights use foils for controlled, precise placement, while balayage can be hand-painted for a softer, more natural-looking blend. Balayage gives dimension that grows out gracefully and highlights can look more structured.
Use our recommended color-safe shampoo and conditioner, limit heat styling when possible to 350 degrees or below, and schedule a gloss every 4 to 6 weeks to refresh, shine, and tone. Your colorist can recommend products and timing based on your specific color.
It varies by technique. A gloss or single process color typically takes 1 to 2.5 hours, while balayage, foilyage, and airtouch usually run 2.5 to 3.5 hours to ensure beautiful, dimension without rushing.
Balayage starts at $258 at Silver Salon. The final price depends on your hair length, thickness, and how much customization you want. Your colorist will walk you through it during your consultation.

What clients say about hair color
The color Beth picked out was great. The head massage was awesome!!
It was my first appointment at silver salon/ in South Carolina as I am new to the area and Haley was extremely kind and listened with care. She felt more like a friend than someone I just met. Haley helped me achieve back my natural hair color and I’m in love! Already booked her again for my next appointment.
Always knowledgeable and professional. Very talented in her craft with color. I leave the salon, always happy with my experience and always enjoy my "Me" time.
This was my first appointment with Jordan for coloring after having her cut my hair for years. I’ve never colored my hair before but I explained wanting to do some coverage of my “unicorn hairs”, a.k.a. grays. She listened to my thoughts about what I wanted it to look like and gave me different options. She didn’t pressure me at all, but just gave me information about the different types of coloring options. I went with a light glaze and after three days of having it done, I am loving it more each day. It’s a subtle difference, so it still looks like my natural color, which I love, but with more shine and just a few tiny hints of shimmer where the grays were. Thank you Jordan for getting it exactly right!!
